Almost like you receive three new Fosters in today. We have a man whose name is Theodore , a female named Asia , and a pregnant female named Remy. Theodore is 6 month old very big for a 6 month old cat he is black and has some white spots on his face very shy but sweet. Asia is black with a black and white mask face she is so cute and so lovable she is definitely a lap cat. Remy is all black beautiful green eyes and has a tummy full of kittens right now. Theodore and Asia will be off to get fixed next week while we patiently await for Remy to have her kittens so that she can get fixed. Yesterday almost like you adopted out Kelly and Gracie to a wonderful family they will be living on a farm and have a young boy to play with. We still have Ollie and tiger the brothers who are 10 weeks old very rambunctious and funny but they do have to be adopted out as a pair we will not separate them. So the almost like you household is a little crowded right now the almost like you Foster's only go to good home so we are waiting for good homes for all the new babies that we have taken in.

Gray Gray Gray - Fosters Everywhere
09.29.16 - It's been a long time since my last post and I've had these fosters for a week or so now so I'm sorry for just now getting something out there about them. I still need to get pictures of them as they are very playful and do not stay still long enough to capture. I have gotten one while they were sleeping which is also rare. Two are tiger striped gray and the other two are gray with white mittens. They are from two separate litters, the tiger striped are about 9 weeks old and the gray/white are only 6 weeks. They are the most loving kittens from the start that I have had, they are free roaming around the house, no kennel needed for these wild critters. They could care a less about the dogs and don't mind smacking their muzzle if they get to close. They like to be on top of you so if you're looking for a cat that just hangs out these are not the kittens for you. If you looking for kittens to cuddle with well you have met your match with these babies. They all four sleep on me at night, two on my pillow by my head and the other two on my side, back, stomach wherever they can find. I will keep you posted on their progress, they will be up for adoption soon.

New Foster's Have Arrived

08.15.16 - We are Very Happy to announce that we only have one foster left, all others have been adopted out to wonderful homes. Lucifer is the only baby left in our care.08.11.16 - Names, Pictures and Personalities have arrived.
Meet Kiwi -Female - She is a tiny little thing with a lot of bit and punch. She was a feral rescue that did not want to be rescued. She can't weigh more than a pound but the pressure on her jaws is like 50 lbs, this little kitty when I grabbed her, yes i grabbed her instead of traping her because she was so small and looked so harmless, until she bit straight through my nail and finger. I didn't let go to her surprise and now she is home with me sitting my lap ready for her new home. She has actually adjusted to the home life very well and is even starting to actual sit on my lap without trying to get away, for those that don't know feral, this is a huge breakthrough. She has wonderful colors, that's my favorite part about her. Her attitude well let's just say being the only girl with 3 boys, she rules the roost. She is constantly aggravating and bullying the others. Hopefully we can get her out of her little attitude stage and she can come out of the kennel.
Meet Sully - Male - He is a big boy compared to Kiwi but still a kitten. Sully's fur is extremely short and very silky feeling, it's almost like he has no fur just smooth skin but there's hair. He is still sketchy of people, ticked off at all dogs and stays quiet in the kennel. He does like to climb the kennel all day long either looking for an escape route or telling you it's time to feed him. Sully allows me to hold him now with little effort of escape but still not ready to wonder on his own around the house, i'm afraid he might harm the dogs, yep he dislikes them that much and has won some hits to the noses if the dogs get to close. I'm going to take a guess and say that kids would be the same, he likes it quiet with little distraction.
Meet Lucifier - Male - Now I know you don't like the name, but hey he was an Angel to begin with which is exactly this little guys personality. He looks like such a sweet angel when you're just looking at him but the minute you turn your back he is tormenting the other kittens, tries to escape every time you go to feed him and will meow until you take him out and hold him. He is up at 5:00 am in the morning and doesn't go to sleep till after midnight and he does not care to respect your sleeping habits, if he is up everyone is up and he makes sure of it. Loves to be held, has to have all the attention but will run from you the second you let your guard down. But we are making progress and this little guy will still your heart with his mischievous attitude.

08.10.16 - Here is a picture of one of the fosters, the others are still a little camera shy, this is a little boy. I promise pictures will come soon, they are recovering from being spayed/neutered.
08.09.16 - Over the weekend three additional foster kittens arrived at the Almost Like You Foster Program. Stay tuned for pictures, names, and adoption updates.

Adoptions are Under Way
All kittens from this group of fosters have been adopted to wonderful families. The last two to go are Tad and Pip. We are so lucky at Almost Like You Foster to have so many great friends and followers that all the sweet babies have been adopted and will be loved.5 of the 7 kittens have been adopted out to wonderful loving families.
Nala and Jax were homed together with a sweet Husband and Wife that one a kitten for each of them. They have no kids and wanted kittens to fill their home with little pitter patter feet.
Chloe and Blais were homed together with a Husband, Wife and sweet little boy that came to pick them out. They just moved to the area and decided it was time to get a pet for their little boy but decided to get two of them so that they wouldn't be lonely.

Tig was homed with a family of three kids that were so sweet and excited to have a kitten, I explained to them that they needed to give Tig time to adjust and not chase him around, the mom said that I wouldn't have to worry about that because Tig was her's and she wasn't sure if she would ever put him down long enough for the kids to even pet him. It was so sweet, the mother was more excited than the kids. She had always wanted a kitten but never could get one because of their living situation but now has a house and room for a sweet kitten. I'm so happy for them.
Almost Like You still has Tad and Pip available for adoption but I'm sure they won't be here very long, they are such sweet babies. They have been running all over the house, they are getting along great with the dogs and have really adjusted well to life inside with people and other animals.

Names - We Have Names
The foster kittens have been named and are getting very social. We have two that purr constantly now, they are on a regular eating habit and all using the litter box. Tig & Tad are the players, they are the only ones that have started playing with toys. Nala is a total purring machine and a lap cat, she stays out at night and sleeps with me. Working on getting the others out of their kennel and into the house, not possible right now because they are too scared and would have way too much anxiety. So we are getting them out little by little, I think 1 out of 7 is good for the short time we have had them. So now let me introduce you.

New Foster's Have Arrived
Almost Like You has been provided the opportunity to trap some Feral Felines recently, there are still some left but these babies are what we have caught so far. They are all kittens so the plan is to spay/neuter all them, socialize them so that they are adoptable and then find wonderful homes for them with great people. Keep a watch on this blog because there will be more Foster's joining all the time. If you have interest in one of the kittens, please visit www.almostlikeyou.com or email me at info@almostlikeyou.com
